Account Development Manager

Exciting new Software Account Development Managers role with Flexible Working Opportunities for an established and growing Software Solutions company in Bristol!

4 or 5 days, core hours, school hours, early/late starts and finishes, home:office split (currently all home-based)

Reporting to the Head of Business Development you will be responsible for managing and developing business within existing accounts, in the University Sector.

You must have:

Experience selling into the university sector 

Minimum of 2 years sales/account management experience

A successful and proven track record of selling/upselling software solutions 

A strong desire to succeed and be a team player

A consultative selling approach

On offer is a base salary in the region of £30-£35K FTE dependent on experience plus Commission

About the role

  • As an Account Development Manager, your role is to find and capitalise on new opportunities within existing clients in the University sector, to expand the business
  • You will be required to build strong customer relationships across all areas of the account, understand their challenges and strategies and convert their needs into sales of the company’s products
  • You will need to educate the customer on all products, applications, and services and upsell services where appropriate
  • Equally important will be building effective working relationships with internal colleagues and teams
  • This role reports to and will work closely with the Head of Business Development

About You

  • You must have knowledge and experience of how the University sector works and have experience of selling solutions to Universities and networking/building relationships at senior levels within them
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years sales/account management experience in software business solutions i.e. hr, review, learning, talent management, accounts
  • You will also have a successful and proven track record in developing accounts by selling/upselling multiple products to the same client
  • You will be pro-active by nature with a strong desire to succeed 
  • You must be a team player and work as part of the team to achieve the company’s objectives
  • You will have a consultative selling approach
